To celebrate the Greek Bicentennial we ask —
How do the ideals of Hellenism inspire your passion?
Live Your Hellenism, Share Your Passion

"We are all Greeks. Our laws, our literature, our religion, our arts have their roots in Greece."
Percy Bysshe Shelley

To celebrate 200 years of Hellenic independence, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is calling on all those who value the ideals of our culture to share their personal achievements. We invite you to show how the roots of Hellenism inspire your passion, your interests, your project. Show us a photo of your artwork, an audio clip of your music, a video of your sports achievement, a written poem - any example of your creative work that you are passionate about. And tell is how Hellenism inspired it.

Click the link below today to enter your submission. A public voting period for the best submissions will follow, so we encourage you to tell your family and friends about your participation and ask them to vote. Share on your social media and tag #LiveYourHellenism. The submissions with the most votes will be given to our panel of judges with expertise in each category. Your film could be seen by Jennifer Aniston! Your sports skills by Giannis Antetokounmpo! And many others.

The finalists selected by our judges will be invited to New York to attend the consecration ceremonies for the St. Nicholas National Shrine in the fall. In addition, those projects will be featured in a temporary exhibit at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago.

"Currently, the project is still in development but you can sign up for updates to hear when we go live!";

"Although we are virtual, we are still powerful, and our message resounds from coast to coast all across our Archdiocese. Our acknowledgment of the blessings of life and liberty, blessings for which the Heroes of 1821 shed their blood, is a monumental moment in the one-hundred-year history of our Holy Archdiocese of America. The distance of time, of land and sea, and even of our cultural acclimation, cannot separate us from the profound depths of meaning that this Anniversary contains."
